Today marks three years since Dr. James C. Thomas departed from our lives, leaving a profound void that we continue to feel deeply. His absence is keenly felt by his loving wife, Gloria, and their children, Donald, Lena, Rodney, J.C. Jr. and Noel, who cherish his memory. The family, including grandchildren Amy, Robyn, Thomas, Kara, Naomi, and Ava, remains united in love and remembrance.
The love for Dr. Thomas endures, and we hold onto the hope that one day we will reunite in the sweet bye and bye on that beautiful shore.

It seems impossible that an entire decade has passed since our beloved, Alafia, departed this earthly life. Some days it feels like yesterday; on others, the weight of her absence reminds us just how much of our hearts went with her.
Ten years ago, we experienced a profound loss that forever changed our lives. Yet through the years, we have come to understand that while death separates us physically, it cannot diminish the bond of love. Ala’s legacy continues to shine through her children, grandchildren, great - grandchildren, family members, and all who were blessed to know her.
She was a woman of strength, faith, compassion, and grace. Her life was a testament to selflessness, perseverance, and unconditional love. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel seen, welcomed, and cherished. A faithful prayer warrior, she believed that no burden was too heavy for the Lord. We, her generations, continue to walk in blessings that began with her earnest petitions before Heaven.
Ala was kind beyond measure, but if you knew her, you also knew her delightfully cantankerous side, a feisty spirit who never hesitated to speak her mind. She was wise beyond her years, and her wisdom continues to guide us today. We miss our fashionista, her contagious laughter, her wicked sense of humor, her sage advice, and the unique light she brought into every room she entered – our phenomenal woman. The years have taught us that grief does not disappear, it changes. We have endured the heartbreaking loss of Ayodele, welcomed new generations she would have adored, celebrated birthdays without her, faced hardships for which we longed for her wisdom, and rejoiced in victories we wish she could have witnessed. Through it all, we have repeated some of her familiar sayings – “Humble yourself” and “Okror nor dae long pas him master”, embraced her Salone traditions, and carried forward the faith she carefully planted within us.
She taught us to love God wholeheartedly.
She taught us to pray without ceasing.
She taught us to work hard.
She taught us to care for one another.
She taught us that family is a gift to be cherished.
She taught us that faith will sustain you when nothing else can.
Ala, thank you plenty for every sacrifice you made, every lesson you taught us, every prayer you prayed, every correction that shaped us, and every expression of unconditional love. By God’s grace, your fruits are thriving.
We miss you more than words can express. Until that glorious day when we meet again, may your memory continue to inspire us as we live upon the foundation you instilled in us and carry forward the legacy you left behind.
