We sadly announce the homegoing of our beloved mother,grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunty, cousin and relative Nancy Martha Bright- Wright who passed away on Tuesday March 29, 2022 surrounded by family.
Nancy Martha was the daughter of William O. Davis Bright Jr. and Martha Greene, both of whom predeceased her. She was married twice: to Mr. Nathaniel Isacc Thorpe Sr. She was also married to Mr. Jehu A. Wright and they both predeceased her. Nancy Martha was also predeceased by her children Salomi Thorpe, Naomi Thorpe- Cassell, Nancy Thorpe, Lyndia Wright and Jackie Wright. Preceding her also are her siblings: Clarence I Bright Sr, John R H Bright Sr., W.O Davis Bright III, Benetta Bright, Augusta Bright, Princess Bright, Macon Bright and Claudia Harris.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her children: Florence Harris, Aurelia Thorpe, Nathaniel Thorpe Jr. (Olivia), Willette G. Harmon (Roland), Marion Wright- Greenfield (Clarence), Carl J. Wright (Arlene) Bill Wright, Una Wright, Ramsey Wright, Edna Wright Negbeh Wright and Arto Shin. She is also survived by her siblings Richard A.E.Bright, and Thelma Z. Bright. Also surviving her are her inlaws:Col. M. Clement Wright, Louise Browne-Reeves, Albertha Wright, Aretha Wright-Collins, Elfreda Wright-Barclay, grandchildren and great grandchildren,nieces, nephews cousins and all other relatives and friends in the U.S.A and Liberia.
Funeral and Burial Arrangements
It was our mother's request that she be buried next to her daughter Salomi in Rhode Island; therefore, There will be two funeral services: one held in Minnesota where she lived with her son Nathaniel and spouse Olivia and the other funeral held in Rhode Island.
