Celebrating the Life of
McVilla Kumba Capehart-Wayker

Sunrise: March 9, 1958
Sunset: April 12, 2022

The Wayker and Capehart families regret to announce the passing of Mrs. McVilla Kumba Capehart-Wayker (affectionately called “Kumba”). Kumba was born to the union of Mr. Robert H. Capehart and the late Mrs. Hawa Capehart in Monrovia, Montserrado County, Republic of Liberia on March 9, 1958. On April 12, 2022, Kumba transitioned at the Elkhart General Hospital in the City of Elkhart, Indiana, United States of America after a brief illness

The sudden loss of Kumba is painful, confusing, devastating and difficult to accept. Our Beloved Wife, Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Niece, Cousin and Friend transitioned from this life into God’s loving arms, and we cannot ask God why. We thank God for the time he allowed us to spend with Kumba on this earth. Sleep well until we meet again in God’s Heavenly Kingdom.

Kumba leaves to mourn her memory, her loving husband, Mr. Matthew Wayker, and children: Sevelee Kamara, Mawayk Wayker, Dadeh Yarmento, Zamapu Wayker, Ghaneah Wayker, Marcus Wayker, Princess Wayker, Madea Wayker and Naomi Wayker. And the following grandchildren: Louise, Jerrita, Richard, Patrick, Anthony, Michael, James, Edmund, Wellington, McVilla, and Zane. Also mourning her passing is her father, Mr. Robert H. Capehart, her brothers and sisters: Mary Capehart, Matthew Capehart, Kolo Mondayma Capehart, Marcia Sundayma Capehart, Precious Mamie Capehart, Peter Capehart and Hansford Capehart. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Mrs. Hawa Capehart, and the following brothers and sisters: Alice Capehart, Emmanuel Capehart and Finda Wolopai.

Kumba, a fun loving and wonderful person, dedicated wife and hardworking mother, will be dearly missed by all of her family, loved ones and friends.

COVID-19 restrictions will be observed in the Services & Repast.
