The loss of a loved one is painfully devastating and difficult to accept. Our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend transitioned from this life into God’s loving arms and may God be praised.

The George E. Tubman Sr., Samuel N. Smith Sr. and Maude Marshall-Smith families regret to announce the sudden death of George E. Tubman Jr. George transitioned on Sunday March 13, 2022, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence, Rhode Island with his family at his bedside. He was pre-deceased by his father George E. Tubman Sr, paternal grandmother Mary Weleboh Tubman and maternal grandparents Samuel N. Smith Sr. and Maude Marshall Smith.

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his mother Rachel B. Tubman, his paternal aunts Mary Blah, Freda Parker and Helena Wallace; aunt and mother Barbara Greaves; maternal grand-aunt Irene Marshall Browne, his uncles Edwin Smith Sr., Edsel Smith Sr. (Babro Smith) and Murray Smith Sr. (Patricia Smith); siblings Elizabeth Matu Tubman-White (son: Sayon Cooper); Joycelyn Yvette Tubman-Goodridge (brother in-law: Spencer S. Goodridge Sr.), Georgene Etina Tubman (daughter: Simone Tubman); foster siblings Massa Moore, Anthony Smith, Jeremy S. Ramble and Bobby Zinneh. He also leaves to mourn a host of relatives and friends in the United States, Liberia, United Kingdom, Sweden and Spain.

George was an innocent, quiet, loving, and gentle person who will be missed and live in our hearts forever. He is now dwelling in the secret place of the Almighty.
