The Will of God has never been ours to determine nor forecast, but to discern. His Will prevailed when another light source was allowed to go off into eternity.
It is with profound sadness and grief that the Toe, Bropleh, Smith and Cheeseman families announce the passing of their daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister aunty and cousin, Madame Marjay Gjudru Toe, during the morning hours of March 9, 2022 – exactly one week shy of her 85th birthday – to take her rest. She transitioned from this life to life eternal at her home in Brentwood, Maryland. We are deeply saddened by her departure, but we thank God with profound gratitude for the irreplaceable memories shared with her over these 85 years.
The late Madame Marjay Gjudru Toe is survived by her children: Lucretia Wredi (TeWredi) Bropleh Chenoweth (Niexie), Comfort Nahdi Bropleh, Stephen Blamoh Bropleh (Rose) and Albert Nah Bropleh (Wanda); grandchildren: Tonia Chenoweth Nurse, Ishmael Chenoweth, Jr., Joyce Chenoweth, Euler Bropleh, Nahba Bropleh, Nahdi Bropleh, Nah-Snonsio Bropleh, Nah- Wredi Bropleh, Nah-Kukor Bropleh, Danick Bropleh, Stephanie Bropleh, Maude Bropleh, Minger Bropleh, Marjay Bropleh, Idiala Dedee, Abraham Sannoh, Jackson Kermue, Comfort Bropleh, Ephraim Bropleh, Vester Bropleh, Lucretia (Ma Lue) Bropleh, Princess Bropleh and Grace Bropleh; many great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, one sister, Miatta Toe, one sister-in-law, Mrs. Elizabeth Toe, and a host of other relatives. Marjay was predeceased by her children: Flogbe, Forkay and Doe Bropleh, and Abraham Thomas; her parents, Farley Gbapue Toe and dagbo Yjoh Kengbah Toe; 5 siblings: sisters Kpiaweh Montgomery, and Cecelia Mogo, and brothers George Toe, Boe Toe and Garflehn Toe.
A Memorial Service along with wake keeping for Madame Marjay Gjudru Toe will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 9:00 AM at the:
St. Jerome Parish

Wake-keeping and viewing: 9:00–10:30AM Funeral Mass: 10:30 – 12:00 Noon
