Mr. F. Octawie Tah

For to me, to Live is Christ, and to Die is Gain. Phillipians 1:21

It is with profound sadness that Mrs. Carolyn Hicks-Tah and the family announce the passing of Mr. F. Octawie Tah who died peacefully as he transitioned to his Heavenly Father on 5/26/2022 in Monrovia, Liberia West Africa.

F. Octawie Tah was born on 12/24/1937 in Barblozon, Rivercess County. He was predeceased by his parents Wesseh and Bai Yavoo Tah and his foster parents: Mr. Samuel B. Cooper, Sr and Mrs. Hilda Knight Cooper. Predeceased by his brothers Joseph Wesseh Tah Sr. and Joseph Borbor Tah and his sister in laws Mabel Boyd and Cerue Mason Tah.

He served the Liberian government for many years as Civil Engineer with the Ministry of Public Works prior to establishing Tah and Tah Construction company with his brothers.

The funeral will be held at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church in Clay Ashland City.

His remains will be removed from Samuel A. Stryker Funeral Home on 6/29/22 at 8:00 A.M. where the family will meet to leave immediately for Clay Ashland City in Montserrado County.

Silent Wake Keeping will be on Tuesday 6/28/22 from 7-10pm at the home of Mr.&Mrs F.Octawie Tah on Police Academy Road.

The service and interment will be held on 6/29/2022 at 10 A.M. at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Mrs. Carolyn Hick-Tah, children {Patrice Tah (predeceased); Andre Williams; Barri Stallworth; Benny Tah; Dr. Bridget Tah-Clayton (John); Paula Tah-Sherman; Julia Tah-Nah, Joseph Wesseh Tah Jr. (Shelly) and foster son: Foday Kanneh (Dr. Amelia). Nieces, nephews,……many foster children, grandchildren; great-grandchildren; foster brothers and sisters and a host of relatives and friends in Liberia, Europe and the United States of America.
