The Songu, Sirleaf, and Yancy families announce with heavy hearts, the passing of their mother, sister, and friend Tenneh F. Songu. Tenneh made her transition on April 6, 2022 at 4:39am at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Although we are heartbroken by this news, we take comfort in the Lord because Matthew 5:4 tell us, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
She is proceeded by her husband Rev. Beyan T. Songu and two sons, Emmanuel, and Lallah. She is survived by her children: Florence Songu (Liberia), Krubo Songu (Liberia), Korto Songu (Liberia), Victor Songu (Liberia) and Eketi Songu (US), her sister, Miatta Shariff (Liberia), numerous grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, as well as extended family in Liberia and throughout the United States.
May her soul rest in perfect peace.
