Mr. Taylor Tailey Smith, Sr.
II Corinthians (NKJV) 5:1: The Apostle Paul declares: “For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.”
The Smith, Gee, Collins, and other related families, with profound sadness, and sorrow, announce the homegoing of their Son, brother, father, grandfather, Uncle and cousin, Mr. Taylor Tailey Smith, Sr. He was born in Pleebo, Maryland County on November 15, 1949, and was called to his eternal rest on December 14, 2021, about 5:00AM, at the Mount Vernon Hospital, Virginia, USA.
He was a former Bank Teller at the Central Bank of Liberia, a Commerce Inspector from The Ministry of Commerce assigned to Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County. The Late Taylor Smith, was also an educator, formerly serving as Principal of the Assembly of God Jr. High School in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County. He was a devoted Christian and a man who loved his Children and grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his Father, James N. Smith, his Uncle Frank B. Gee, his eldest brother Patrick Sebastian Smith, and younger sister, Victoria Smith Walker amongst a host of other deceased relatives.
The Late Taylor Smith leaves to cherish his passing, his mother Sarah Warto Smith Gee, several siblings, including, Gen. Edward W. Smith, (Martha), E. Roy Smith, Sr. Esq. (Beatrice), Edith Young, Yvonne Smith Taylor (James), Dorothy Smith, James Boy Smith (Helena), Ruth Gee Kear (Dr. Kear) and Minister Beatrice Smith, Mlendough (Robert).
Also mourning his passing, are his four biological children, Taylor T. Smith, Jr., (aka Junior Taryee), Barlee Frank Smith, Decontee Taylorine Smith, and Nettie Meme Smith, with several grandchildren including, Deborah Sia Smith, Wortoe Daysoe Smith, Ruth Baby girl Gee Smith, Cole Wilson Smith, Michelle T. Smith, Marqueena Z. Smith, Anna Smith, and Annie Smith. Others are, Frank B. Smith, Jr. , Dorcus Naomi Zarkpah Smith, Levi Denille Jones, Jr., Prince Darence Tedoe Jr., Ephraim Lawrence Tedoe, Joel, Danielle, and Noah.
Others are his adopted children including, Alvin Smith, Ralph Quelley Gee Smith, Madeline Smith, Barlee Smith, Emmanuel Dorsi Smith, Antoinette Smith, Anthony Smith, Cheo Smith, and Mamie Smith.
