With profound sadness and grief, the Smith and Nyenow Families announce as follow, funeral proceedings for their Late husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Johnny S. Smith whose sad event occurred on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the Fidelity Hospital in Sinkor. “DJ”, as he was popularly known by family and friends was a 1979 graduate of the Booker Washington Institute in Kakata, Margibi County, a 2001 graduate of the AME Zion University in Monrovia, and an employee of the United States Embassy near Monrovia.

On Friday, January 14, 2022 the body of the Late Johnny S. Smith will be removed from the St. Moses Funeral Parlors at 5:00 pm and taken to the St. Augustine Episcopal Church on Barnersville Road for a moment of Wake Keeping from 6:00-9:00 pm. The Wake Keeping will continue all night at the Deceased’s residence located at the end of the straight road leading directly opposite Kebbah Mansion in Barnersville.

On Saturday, January 15, 2022, funeral service over the remains of the Late Johnny S. Smith, popularly known as “DJ”, will be held at the St. Augustine Episcopal Church on Barnersville Road beginning at 10:00 am. Thereafter, the body will be taken to the Johnsonville Cemetery for interment.

This announcement is signed by Dehcontee Nyenow Smith, Kortu Mulbah, George Smith, Angelique Nyenow, Morris Dougba, Matthew T. K. Flomo, and Willie Benson, Jr., wife, uncles, sister-in-law, and cousins of the Deceased on behalf of the Family.
