The Sanyeneh, Bettie, Smith and Cheeks families regret to announce the passing of our free-spirited, beautiful and beloved mother, grandmother,
sister, aunt, cousins & loved one
Mrs. Victoria Bettie-Sanyeneh.
This sad event occurred at the family’s residence in Fort Washington, Maryland on Thursday January 6, 2022. Our mother peacefully died surrounded by her loved ones. Mama Victoria was predeceased in death by her husband, Colonel James D. Sanyeneh, her son Monroe Railey Sanyeneh, her grandson Edmund Sanyeneh and her parents Mr. & Mrs. William Monroe Bettie Mrs. Idell Velma Smith-Bettie.
May her soul and the souls of all our
faithfully departed rest in eternal peace.
Mama, Grandma, Aunt Vic & Cousin Vic as she was affectionately called by her family and friends leaves to mourn her daughters:
Jane Tuopaeh (Nathaniel), Idella Teeba (Albert),
Eugenia Sanyeneh-Diggs (Wesseh), Joyce Brown (Anthony),
Mavie Sanyeneh (Jules) and Evelyn Sanyeneh (Prince)
One brother Mr. John Bettie (Bernice), one sister Ms. Rhonda Bettie & one brother in-law Deacon Richard D. Hill.
She also leaves to cherish her sweet memories her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, several grandnieces; nephews; cousins and a
host of relatives in the USA and Liberia.
Our family would like to thank the staffs at Hospice of the Chesapeake and Adventist Healthcare
In Fort Washington for their kindness and care.
