Margaret Mona Tiplah Karpeh Koffa

Educator, Humanitarian and Liberian Stateswoman

December 31, 1932 - February 3, 2022

The Koffa and Karpeh families together with the Kor Jubwe Clan and the Sons and Daughters of Sasstown (SADOS), announce the peaceful homegoing of our beloved Daughter of Jekwipo, Sasstown, Devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grand Mother, Sister, Aunty, Cousin, Teacher and Friend in the early evening of February 3, 2022.
Margaret Mona Tiplah Karpeh Koffa is the daughter of former Buah District Commissioner, John Fannoh Karpeh and widow of Former Liberian Ambassador to Japan and Major General, Stephen Jaitoh Koffa, Sr. of the Armed Forces of Liberia(AFL), who predeceased her in February 2014.

She was a Teacher and Vice Principal in the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS) for more than 20 years. She was also surrogate mother to many who passed through the MCSS especially at the Anna F. Whistnant Elementary School in the Barclay Training Center, for military children.
She will be deeply missed by her many “Sons” and “Daughters”, Friends and Family Members including her beloved cousin Ligouri N. Sebwe. Margaret Mona was preceded in death by Her Parents John Fannoh and Tiplah Karpeh, Her Husband Diplomat and Major General Stephen Jaitoh Koffa, Sr., Her sisters Agnes Tanneh Karpeh Broderick, Sarah Balleh Karpeh and Brother Thomas Nimene Karpeh. Her legacy lives on through her Children, Grand Children and Great Grand Child.

Her Grandchildren:
Mhabhushah Jamaal Koffa, Lawren Michelle Koffa, Marjan Mona Koffa, Nicholas Braxton Dennis, Jonda Janet Koffa, McCanzey Bade Koffa, Zybdyl Yekeson Koffa, Adrien Malachi Dixon, Jaiden Elisha Dixon
Her One and Only Great Grandchild:
