Hon. Alphonso Momo Kawah, Sr.
It is with our deepest sorrow that the Kawah, Massaquoi, Cole and Sonii family inform you of the death of our beloved father and husband, Hon. Alphonso Momo Kawah, Sr., who transitioned from this life on April 10, 2022, at his home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after a protracted illness. He was born on December 15, 1944 in his home town of Robertsport, Grand Cape Mount County, Liberia.
The deceased is survived by his wife, Laurine Cole Kawah, his children: Alphonsine Musu Kawah-Farhat, Jebeh Kawah Tugbateh (Solomon), Alphonso Momo Kawah, Jr. (Mabakeuna "Mabs"), Alphine Kawah, M'bemba Alphonso Kawah, Famatta Mamayun Kawah, Nyema Kawah, Emerald Kawah, Evangeline Bunchie Mulbah, (Sam), Musu Fahnbulleh, Ashford Boima Sonii, Sr. (Habibatu), Jonathan Montgomery Saah (Fatu), Shirley Crawford Wah (Louis), Clave Acolatse Kailondo (George), Soenie Mulbah Aubry (Alexandre), Valerie Tita Kaiuway, Sensee Kawah (Kelly), Theophilus Kangba (Francis) and William Moore; cousins Lamine Kawah, Edward Kawah and James Kawah, and a host of other relatives in the diaspora and Liberia.
The family will receive your condolences at the home of Famatta Kawah, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and at the residence of Laurine Cole Kawah in Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania. Donations are also being accepted via Wells Fargo Account 8517926427.
