PASTOR MOTUBA ISRAEL HARDING, OUR PAPA AND OUR PASTOR!
To God be the Glory, Great things He has done! We can still hear Papa, Pastor M. I. Harding, Pastor Harding, Teacher Harding singing, To God be the Glory, Great things He has done...as he celebrated his 99th Birthday on January 27th, and throughout his remaining days on Earth. Indeed, To God be the Glory...
It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Pastor Motuba Israel Harding, affectionately known as “Papa”. An Icon, Educator, and above all a Christian giant, has gone to rest. Our hearts are saddened by his passing, yet grateful, for his life! We give God all the Glory for our Papa’s peaceful transition on the morning of Monday, January 31, 2022. Notably, his passing took place five days after his highly anticipated and memorable
99th Birthday Celebration via Zoom. During the celebration, he was joined virtually by numerous family members and friends around the globe, while he enjoyed their sweet words and singing in his earthly home in Norcross, Georgia.
Pastor M. I. Harding was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, on January 27, 1923, unto the union of Ishmael William Kojo Harding and Fanny Sally Harding who predeceased him. He was a dedicated Teacher, Principal, School Superintendent, Ordained Pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Acting President of the Liberian Mission of Seventh-day Adventist, and importantly, a great Evangelist up until his death.
Papa leaves to cherish his precious memories and dedicated Christian and Educational services, the entire Harding, and Bedwell Families in the United States and across the globe, students and faculty members of Monrovia Consolidated School System, Konola Academy, and Booker Washington Institute (BWI), the Liberian Ministers Association of Georgia, Berean Church of Free Seventh-day Adventist Church, the Republic of Liberia, and many others whose lives he touched.
