Mrs. Gaynor Valentine Gibson

It is with profound sadness, gratitude and heavy hearts that the Gibson, Valentine, Trinity, Smythe, Nimmo and Erskine families announce the home-going of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, grandaunt and cousin, Mrs. Gaynor Valentine Gibson. This sad event occurred at her home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota USA on Sunday, January 23, 2022 surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 60 plus years, Mr. Bernard Alexander Gibson Sr, her brothers, John Payne Valentine, Alec Valentine, Aaron Trinity, her sons Alvin Clement Gibson and Wesley Blake Gibson.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her brother, Mr. Leyon Smythe, her children: Mr. John C. A. Gibson, IV (Mai), Mrs. Sara Gibson Doe, Mr. Clarence V. Gibson (Althea), Bishop Julia J. Gibson, Mrs. Gaynor Mumsy Gibson Doe (Michael), Mr. Bernard A. Gibson, Jr. (Karen), Mrs. Edna Gibson Williams (Freddie), Mr. John Ernest Gibson, her grandchildren: Clara K. Doe, Marcel K. Doe, Clarence Alvin (Al) Gibson, Jennifer Gibson, Germaine Gibson, Vincynte Gibson, Jayden Gibson, Michael Bernard Doe, (Mikey), Mickayla-Julianne Doe, Mickel Doe, Charles Kelly, Christopher Gibson (Jessica), Ashley Gibson (Alisha), Edna Gibson, Monica Gibson (Alex), Kimberly Gibson, Jamaal Williams, Sean Williams (Sasha), Ettame Malobe, Dinah Malobe, Johnelle Maima Gibson, Julia Lillian Gibson, Henrietta Ofori, Juliana Ofori, Michaelene Ofori, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives in the United States, United Kingdom, Liberia and Sweden.

She had a passion for the Word of God and loved serving her church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin. She always had a scripture for every situation when encouraging others. In our hearts she will always be. Her love, her voice, her smile are forever imprinted in our minds. She will be always loved, forever missed. Sleep on as you did on the day of your sunset, rest in eternal peace in Jesus Name!

The family in Liberia will be at the Provident Hotel, 9th Street (Beach side), Sinkor, Monrovia, Liberia from 4pm on Saturday 19th February 2022 to watch the funeral and friends and sympathizers are invited to join them.
