Mom Rebecca Fireman

The Fireman, Brown, Zeze, Ricks, Johnson and Newman families announce with profound sorrow, the homegoing of their beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, cousin and friend, Mom Rebecca Fireman. Her peaceful transition occurred on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the Steere House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Providence, Rhode Island, USA surrounded by her family.
Mom Rebecca Fireman, affectionately called “Becky” was preceded in death by her children’s father, her parents John and Gartay Fireman, daughter, Mrs. Malley Johnson Reeves and son, Mr. Emmanuel Newman.

She leaves to mourn and celebrate her precious life, her children, Hawah Brown, Ellen Fatu Brown (Adolphus), Morris Boikai (Selena), Dorothy Johnson-Akoiwala (Corvah), Alvin M Johnson (Angie), Charles Y Johnson II (Nathalyn), Albert K Johnson, Kolu Johnson, Joan Newman-Coleman (Samford), Joanna Newman-Jackley (David) and Reuban Newman; sisters Mrs. Annie Gbelee (John, Sr.), Susanna Fireman, brothers, George Fireman, Morris Fireman, Emmanuel Nimely, and Wolo Page; Emmanuel Jallah (Nephew). 51 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in Africa, Europe, and the USA.

The remain of Ms. Rebecca Fireman has since been deposited at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln, Rhode Island
