Jemima Horace Dumui

Sunrise: October 31, 1933

Sunset: April 8, 2022

It is with a heavy hearts that we announce the homegoing of our dearest mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, aunt, and friend Jemima Horace Dumui. Affectionately called Teekity, Young Geh, Miss Turkey, and Jim. She transitioned in the comfort of her home in Dover, DE on Friday, April 8, 2022 with the embrace of her daughter Josephine Lloyd.

Jemima Dumui was born to the Late Sandy Ford Horace and Mary Feta Horace in Bensonville Liberia. As the oldest of 3 girls, she began her early education in Bensonville and later moved to Monrovia where she completed her education in telecommunications. She later pursued her career as an International Telecommunications Operator and Supervisor for over 40 years. She dedicated her service to training new employees communicating with people all around the world. She was also a dedicated member of  the Soul Clinic Mission School in Paynesville Monrovia and also a member of First Church of God where she was recently baptized.

Ms. Jemima Dumui influenced so many lives before her transition and continues to do so. She was very family oriented, the epitome of hard work, soft yet firm and the best cook out of Bensonville. She continues to live on in our hearts and memories.

She leaves to mourn and celebrate her precious life, her sister Mrs. Selena Haroce Kaindoli, seven (7) children: Marie Williams Fillius, Joseph G. Lloyd Jr., Spencer Lloyd, Josephine Lloyd, Ernest Dumui, Jemima (Feta) Dumui, and Binda Dumui, 26 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Those who Preceded her in life was her late husband Ernest Dumui I. Her youngest sister Irene H. Johnson and six (6) of her children
