With great sadness, the Nurse, Marshall, Clarke and Cole families announce the loss of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, niece and friend, Rachel Louise Nurse Clarke. Rachel, affectionately known as, “Queeny or Teta '' by close family and friends passed away in Princeton, NJ on January 15, 2022.
She was predeceased by four of her children, Johnetta Minor, Clarrisa Clarke, Edward Clarke Jr., and Alphonso Clarke. She leaves to mourn her loss 7 children, 3 children of the United States: Christine Lloyd-Cooper, Maryetta Jensen (Samuel) and Rose Clarke-Capehart, four children in Liberia: Ethel Clarke, Johnny Clarke, William Clarke and Aileen Clarke, six siblings also in the United States, Gabriel Peal (Williemae), Ernestine Bernard, Amanda King (Kojo), Fulinia Williams, Pastor Evelyn Cole, and Louise Brown, 35 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 9 nieces, 5 nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Please join the family as we commemorate and celebrate her life on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Turning Point United Methodist.
