The Brown and Johnson families announce with great sadness, the peaceful transitioning of our loving wife, mother, and sister, auntie, grandmother and cousin, Annette Sarah Johnson-Brown. This sad event occurred on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at the Regency Care of Arlington, Arlington, VA. USA. Sis. Annette (affectionately called) was known to be a generous, lighthearted, and compassionate person. She loved the simple things in life and she enjoyed spending time with her precious family. Sis. Annette was predeceased by her parents: Hon. Levi R. Johnson, Sr. stepmother, Florence Elizabeth Rauls- Johnson, mother - Frances Ledlow, siblings: Hilary Johnson and Etmara Johnson-Alladin, Martha Ledlow, Borbor Ledlow, paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Moore Johnson, Aunts: Emma Johnson- Dennis, MaryAnn Johnson-Woods, Florence Afuah Johnson, Uncle Joseph James Johnson (Socrates).
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband Hietha C. Brown Sr., her children: Hietha C. Brown Jr. (Helen), Domah H. Brown Sr. (Philominah), Hillary C. Brown Sr. (Meme), Bendu Brown Czerwinski (Jim), Wellington C. Brown (Agnes), Roselydia Brown Wisseh (Togbah), Miatta B. Brown, Joseph J. Brown, Johnson F. Brown (Hawa), S. Coretta Capps Nebo (Moses), Ayo S. Parker, Simeon J. Brown (Maima), her sisters – Louise Reeves Buxton, Ruby Johnson Morris, Elise Barrolle Warner (Harry) Agnes Johnson Kanwhea, Mildred Ellen Louise Johnson and Maggie Clarke Oberly; her brothers – Levi R. Johnson Jr (Catherine), Amos S. Johnson (Ida), James Ballah (Roselyn), David Teah (Kpana) of Belgium and brother in Law, Rev. Jerry Alladin. Aunt: Janie R. E. Smith (Pinky) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren and countless relatives and friends around the world.
Annette also leaves to mourn her loss the entire Ricks Institute Community around the globe and her Salem Baptist Church family.
