It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that the Bestman, Okai, Jeffrey and Paika’s families announce the transition of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, auntie and cousin Mary Gboryonnoh Bestman aka (Mary Payne) .
This sad event occurred suddenly on the morning of Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, New York.
Mary was predeceased by her parents Wleh Bestman & Ms Teresa Paika, her brother John G Bestman, Annie Bestman, Jones Bestman and granddaughter Princess Brittany Yates .
Sister, as she was affectionately called by her siblings believed in celebrating life and we intend to do just that for her home going .
She is survived by her children ; Oretha Bestman-Yates, Othello Bestman, Somah Payne, Edwina Payne, Christiana Bestman, Bortha Bestman, Martha Bestman, and Sieh Bestman. Grandchildren : Bordeh Natasha Jackson , Emily Victoria Yates, Prince Yates Jr, Jordan Yates, Evee Sampson, Prince Bestman, Makaia Bestman , Kaia Oretha Bestman, Decontee Bestman, Amine Bestman, Tola Bestman, Avenette Geawie, Sa'mya Payne, Michael Crawford, Emali Sheriff, Somah Payne Jr and Sarina Payne. Great- grandchild: Josiah Bestman. Son in law Prince Yates, daughter in law Jatu Bestman Payne as well as a host of brothers, sisters, cousins and nieces.

The mortal remains of Mary G Bestman will be removed on March 11, 2022 from St. Moses Funeral Parlour on Somalia Drive, Gardnersville, Monrovia and transported to Marshall City, Margibi County .
