Mrs. Christiana Mensah Birch-Badio

October 13, 1938 to January 12, 2022

The Badio, Birch and Mensah families are deeply saddened to announce the passing of their beloved, Wife, Mother, Aunty, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, and Sister, Mrs. Christiana Mensah Birch-Badio in her 83rd year. Her transition to be with the Lord took place on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at her home in Minnesota, USA surrounded by family.

Mrs. Christiana Mensah Birch-Badio is survived by:
Her husband for the last 12 years, Cllr. Samuel Edgar Sie Badio Sr., and his children: Harriette (Momo), Edgarline, Edgar Jr., Cyrus (Vero), Felecia (Wesner), Pamayan (Ben), Pudi, Merrill (Pauline), Teddy (Musu), Alex, Gyade (Pauline), and Windell.

Her children of previous marriage to the late, Mr. Milton Sarcor Birch, Sr.: Comfort Myers (Joseph), Julia James George (Ernest), Clarence Birch (Tee-Tee), Joyce Witherspoon (Jervis), Milton S. Birch, Jr., Yata Mensah, Samuel Birch (Larvon) and Blossom Baker.
Several grandchildren: (Madia, Joseph, Cayenne, Maitta, Nowhea, Milton III, Christiana, Diana, Clarece, Jebbeth, Jerlyn, Jervis, Jr., Jeremy, Jeryl, Desiree, Christiana, Salia, Samlaree, Samilia, Mia-Blossom, Jaden, Yanqua, Varbah and Malay) great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Josiah and Christiana Mensah; her husband of 41 years, Mr. Milton S. Birch, Sr., her Brothers: Ambrose Mensah, Thomas Mensah, Joseph Mensah, Josiah K. Mensah, Kojo Mensah and John Mensah; Her Sisters: Comfort Mensah, Janet Mensah, Ella Holder, Affavai Akpome, Benetta Mensah, Mary Mensah, Quasaly Mensah and Martha Mensah. Her daughter, Florence R. Kamara and her nephew, Josiah Mensah, III and grand son, Marlon Weefur.

Her interment will then be held in Silver Spring Maryland the following week, February 5th, 2022.
