NAJAH SAMUEL YAKPASUO

Sunrise: February 7, 1994 Sunset: September 18, 2021

The Yakpasuo and Nagbe families with deepest sorrow, announce that Najah Samuel Yakpasuo, our beloved son, brother, cousin, nephew, best friend, and buddy, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at age 27, due to a house fire at 8500 Lindberg Blvd, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This incident is currently under investigation by local authorities in Philadelphia, PA.

Born in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa, February 7, 1994, Najah was educated at Cuttington University College in Suakoko, Bong County and the University of Liberia, West Africa, where he studied Geology into his senior year before relocating to the United States in 2016 to join his father and siblings. Although, Najah’s life was much too short, we are very proud of his accomplishments. He was an extremely intelligent young man with plans for his future. Less than 9 months after emigrating to the U.S, he earned a certificate in Emergency Medical Training and enjoyed his time as a part-time paramedic. Last year, he graduated from Widener University, Chester, Pennsylvania, with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, and at the time of this tragic incident, he was working with children with disabilities. Najah will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Najah leaves to mourn his loss, his parents Dr. Elijah Yakpasuo and Ms. Izatta Tette Nagbe, several brothers and sisters including Ms. Rovita Blessing Yakpasuo, his fiancée Ms. Ruth Gaykai, uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
