Adeline Stryker Weefur
The
Weefur, Stryker and Cooper families wish to announce the passing
of Mrs. Cecelia Adeline Stryker Weefur, wife of the late Dr.
Moses Kronyanh Weefur, Sr., (affectionately known as Old Moms,
Mammie, Mama, Granny, Sis Celia, Aunt Cecelia, Cousin Cecelia,
Godma and "Dog Foot"). Old Moms was peacefully called
home to rest on Friday, May 16th, 2008 in Oakland, California.
She was a loving Old Moms and a great person who was full
of fun, compassion and strength. We mourn her death but we
celebrate the wonderful life she lived.
She
is survived by her children, Kronyanh, Richard, Clarence,
Moses, Jr. (Johnnie), Cecil, Julia, Mary, Frank and Amos;
daughters-in-law Zinab, Emily, Josephine, Agnes, Shari; and
son-in-law Eric. Old Moms is also survived by her siblings
Jehu, Humphrey, Rebecca, Gertrude, Olivia and Amelia; sister-in-law
Amelia Stryker; and a host of foster children, grand- and
great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Home going services will be held in Atlanta, Georgia as follows:

Child Counts Foundations at www.eachchildcounts.com. ECCF
is a nonprofit organization helping orphanages and schools
in Liberia since 1998 where they believe, "all children
are created equal".
