Dr.
Augustus F. Caine
In 2007 we chose to celebrate your Birthday, December 7th
although recognizing your sunset on December 12th.
You
mean so much to us. In a special way, we would like to thank
you.
For the ability to listen
and see both sides of the
coin.
For talking TO us
and not AT us.
For never being too big to say "I'm sorry".
For your courage to admit
"I may be wrong".
For being the Peacemaker and teaching us
Not to hold a grudge or malice,
For in doing so, we hurt ourselves.
For
teaching us to be Humble,
Not to place ourselves on pedestals above anyone else,
Regardless of age or circumstance.
By example, you have shown that Helping is better than hurting.
That truly caring is richer than financial gain,
This we came to know is what saved your life,
Through three changes of power.
You
have taught us, what was sometimes hard to learn:
That instead of constantly complaining
About what others have done to us,
We should count our many blessings
And realize how fortunate we really are.
Observing
how quick you are to give and not eager to receive,
Looking in your closets, over the years,
At unopened gifts we'd forced you to accept,
Your lessons become more easily understood.
Thanks
for being a true Patriarch and FRIEND. Thanks for sharing
your life, love, wisdom, thoughts and all that you've had
with us.

Thank
you message from the Corneh/Dorley families
We
the family of the late Geeta Corneh, would like to extend
our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all of our relatives,
friends, co-workers, and acquaintances for your thoughts,
prayers, cards, generous donations, endless phone calls, kind
words and messages of condolence and sympathy we received
during our bereavement on the sudden loss of our daughter,
mother, granddaughter, sister, wife, niece, aunt, cousin,
in-law, and friend, Geeta Corneh. We would especially like
to thank Zainab S. Kamara (JB) and Marian Jabateh (Nahtama)
for their hard work. Our sincere thanks and appreciation go
out to the Dawa committee at the African Islamic Community
Center, in Philadelphia, the Kamara family, the Turay family,
the Dorley's descendant organization, and for the respectful
and dignified manner in which our beloved late Geeta's funeral
arrangements were handled in Liberia.
Our
family here in the USA/Liberia appreciated very much the presence
of everyone who traveled from far and near, especially in
that terrible weather on Sunday, just to be with us. We were
overwhelmed by the number of people both in the USA/Liberia
who came to join us in celebrating the life of our dear late
sister Geeta Tehtee Corneh-Sesey. Some times we often wonder
why God allows us to go through such a devastating situation,
but during these times, you get to know who your family and
friends are, indeed.
Once
again, please accept our wholehearted thanks and appreciation
for being there to help console us during our great loss.
We will always treasure your expressions of sympathy during
this most difficult time. May God continue to bless, guide,
and protect all of us
May
Allah bless her soul. Sister Geeta, rest in perfect peace
until we meet again.
Massa, Lagbeah Fatu and the entire Corneh/Dorley families

IN LOVING MEMORY OF ROSETTA
O. AWODE
Now the laborer's task is o'er; Now the
battle day is past; Now upon the farther shore, lands
the voyager at last. The hand of time has reminded us that
one year ago, on October 17, 2006, your precious life was
taken away by evil gun men. You woke up on that day assuming
it was just an ordinary day. You went about your normal duties,
little did you know that it was your day of summon to a higher
calling. We continue to ask the question, "Why so soon?" We
have come to realize that to be absent from the body is to
be present with the Lord. Not a day goes by that you are not
thought of. You continue to live in our hearts every second
of the day. As you take your rest from this world full of
hatred and greed, we can rest assure that you are in a better
place. May your home-going bring us to the realization that
our times are in God's hand. Left behind, we wait in trust
for the Resurrection Day.
THANK
