General Jehu T. Stryker Sr.
The Stryker, Cummings, Sandimanie, Brathwaite and Gibson families, along with the Presbytery of Liberia and the Government of the Republic of Liberia; announce the passing in his 93rd year of Ruling Elder / Brigadier General Jehu T. Stryker Sr., Former Marshal of the High Seas, Supreme Court of the Republic of Liberia.
This sad event occurred on Saturday August 14th, 2021, at the home of his Son Richard and Family in Valley Stream, New York.
He was predeceased by His loving wife of 68 years, Rev. Amelia B. Cummings-Stryker, his Parents, Elder Richard Lane Stryker III and Rev. Ellen Ann Sandimanie, and several siblings. He leaves to mourn his loss His children, Gertrude, Judy, Ina, Jehu Jr. Richard (Genevieve), Rinelle (Charlie) and Brenda. His Sister-In-Law Agnes Huskins, Several sisters, including Gertrude Stryker, his two Brothers, Boimah Y. Sandimanie and Thomas Sandimanie, Several Step and Foster children, Grand, Great, and Great Great Grandchildren and a host of relatives and close friends worldwide.
The Thanksgiving and Communion Services will be held on Wednesday September 8th at 10:30 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Jamaica, NY 89-60 164 Street, Jamaica, NY 11432 and can also be seen on the link below.
