With profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Stevens, Bailey, and Hendricks families announce the home-going of their admirable and beloved son, brother, and uncle, Mackerson Kowa Stevens, commonly known as Mackowa. This sad event occurred on Monday, September 27, 2021, in Middletown, DE, due to a vehicle accident. Mackerson was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Flumo Stevens.
Mackowa left labor for eternity with lots of love and cherished memories of families and friends. He was an offspring from a great family line of that extends from the beautiful shores of Liberia to the United States, and he will continue to live forever like a candle in the wind. His soul has already received His grace and made ready for heaven.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Mother, Olina Bailey Stevens. One sister, Wubu Stevens Hendricks, one brother, Bonawu Stevens, Sr. Nieces are Kayla and Jaylee Stevens. Nephews are Bonawu Stevens, Jr. and Kobe Hendricks. Aunts include Elsa Bailey Draper(Richmond), Angelee Bailey Kpoyour(Anthony), Kareen Bailey Saytarkon, Viola Stevens, Nancy Stevens, and Yama Garwee. Uncles include Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Bailey (Taylorie), Joseph Bailey, Aloysius Stevens (Lawuo), Simon Stevens.
