The Sprayberry,
Smith, Ricks, Carter, Alao, Gurley, Johnson and Hutchins families
announce with profound regrets the passing of Mrs. Elizabeth
Adelena Smith- Sprayberry. This sudden and sad event occurred
on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at the Fort Worth Harris Methodist
Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
Mrs.
Elizabeth Adelena Smith-Sprayberry was born in East Harper,
Maryland County, Liberia, onto the union of Mr. George Rountree
Smith and Mrs. Tryphena C. Johnson-Ricks. She is survived
by her husband George E. Sprayberry, her mother, Tryphena
Johnson-Ricks, five children: Rudenia Carter, Maureen Fola
Alao, Trina Alao, Bendia Gurley, and Pietre Gurley, several
brothers and sisters: Richard Smith, Jimmy F. Smith, Sarah
Smith-Nylander, Harriet Williams-Yancy, J. N. Williams Ricks,
Louise Ricks-Conduah, Annie Ricks-Jackson, Niveda Ricks, Precious
R. Ricks. Paternal siblings include: Michael Smith, Henry
Smith, Alex Smith, George Smith, Ronelle Smith-Andrew, Mary
Smith, Helena Smith and Martha Smith, eight grandchildren,
one great grand child, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,
relatives and friends.
