Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
The Sherman and the Genewonde Mendemassa families are deeply saddened to inform you of the passing of Edwin Kaibakai (E.K.) Sherman Sr., our beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Cousin on Wednesday, August 18th 2021. This event occurred at home in Sinkor, Liberia, after a brief illness.
E.K. was predeceased by his Father and Mother, the Late Reginald A. Sherman and the Late Madame Miata Gonowah of Genewonde, Grand Cape Mount County and brothers and sisters - Mrs. Caroline David Sherman, Mr. Arthur Sherman Sr, Mrs. Clavenda Sherman Bright, Mr. Charles Dunbar Sherman, Mrs. Florence A. Sherman Peal, Mr. Reginald A Sherman Jr., Mr. Henry Payne Sherman, Mr. Robert B. Sherman, Mr. Anthony Mendemassa Sherman, Mr. Frank Abu Sherman, Mr. Frederick (Bob) Sherman, Mr. Habaisha Sherman and cousin/brother, Mr. Kinnie V. Reeves.
E,K, leaves to mourn his children, Anthony (Tony) Momolu Sherman, Edwin Kaibakai Sherman Jr. (Helene Rodriguez Sherman), Miata Sherman, Augustus Sherman (Mena M. Barclay Sherman), and Rose Jebbeh Sherman, his grandchildren, Edwin Kaibakai Sherman III, Anthony Pico Sherman, Florence Louise Sherman, Alkeela Hawa Sherman, Isreal Sherman, Sierra Sherman, Augusta Musu Sherman, Augustus Sherman Jr., Rina McIntosh, Riya McIntosh and Charlotte Grace Aderoju.
He also leaves to mourn his five sisters, Mrs. Anna Sherman Richards, Mrs Eva Sherman Nwabueze (Joseph), Mrs. Augusta Sherman Morgan (Edwin), Mrs. Miata E. Sherman (formally M. DeShield) and Mrs. Willyet Sherman Wahrolen, several nieces and nephews, including his niece Kayma Sherman-Knuckles and his nephew, Frank J.M. Sherman, grand nieces and nephews, several cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life and Burial Services will be held as follows:

Funeral Service: Good Sheperd Funeral Home in Fiamah, Sinkor, Liberia
Funeral Service: 7:30 AM
Interment: St. John’s Church Cemetery in Robertsport, Grand Cape Mount Cunty - immediately following the funeral SERVICE.
