Job 19: 25-27 NIV- But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last. And after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God! I will see him for myself. Yes, I will see him with my own eyes. I am overwhelmed at the thought!
The Arku, Mamolu, Degein, Opoku, Shiancoe, Kargbo, Marsh, Baysah, Jaffar, Jallah, Korvah, Lillie, Mombo, Macauley, Allen, Fahnbulleh, Pour, Anderson, Dean, Johnson, Kessely, Kholobale, Kollie, Kennedy, Mickson, McIntosh, Moses, Boyah, Bryant, Barclay, Howard, Porte, Subah, Massaquoi, Sheriff, Andrews, Okonkwo, Grisgby, Wright, and Kennedy families announce the earthly death of our beloved mother, sister, aunty, niece, cousin, and phenomenal friend, Annie Niket Arkue-Opoku. This return to glory event occurred on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at North Shore University Hospital in Long Island, New York, USA.
Ma. Annie is predeceased by her father, James D. Arku, mother- Makra Mamolu- Arkue, her brother, George Arku, her sisters, Kolu and Memme Arku, and daughters, Veronica T. and Dolly Macauley, and her grandson, Winfred "Chuckie" McIntosh.
Sister Annie leaves to cherish and celebrate her sweet memories, her husband, Nana Kwame Opoku-Boamah, her children, Annette Opoku, Martin Arku, Niket Allen-Fahnbulleh (Noble Fahnbulleh), Makra Opoku (MakmaFoundation), Mary, Victoria (girl), and Jonathan, her beloved sisters, brothers, cousins in Liberia, Europe and the USA, very good friends, acquaintances, and a host of other relatives and friends around the world.
Mamie also leaves the following grandchildren to celebrate her; Veronica Sheriff (George), Toomey Anderson (Elizabeth), Annette Mickson (Kwesi), Justine, Junior Boy, Yonblee, Chisom, Diamond, Noble, Albertine, Monick, Akin, Binda, Niket, Praise, Elijah; great grandchildren; Charlenica, Al George, Susan, Famatah, Alexander, GraceAnna, and Daniella; many grand nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Mamie was kind, loving, sharing, giving, and beautiful at heart. She was someone you could always talk to no matter what the situation. She never wanted to see anyone feel pain or hardship. She shared whatever she had to make sure everyone was feeling good. Mamie was a person of faith with a gentle spirit. She laughed and prayed about everything while serving the Lord. She loved singing hymns all day long as she advanced in age and with the glory of God. Rest in peace mama! Your work is finally done taking your last breath through Jesus Christ.
