George Godfrey Mills, Sr.
From
Labor to rest
With
profound sadness, the Mills, Brown, Dixon, Jorkey, Krangar,
Goodlin, Johnson, and Morris families announce the home going
of our beloved one Mr. George Godfrey Mills, Sr. This sad
event occurred on January 29, 2009 at the Kaiser Deer Valley
Hospital in Antioch, California.
He
leaves to mourn:
His
wife of thirty-three years, Mrs. Sarah Brown Mills. His children,
Cynthia Adighibe (Adele), Hagar Mills, Jacob Godfrey Mills
III(Amy), Alvin Godfrey Mills(Precious), Barue A. Mills-Morris(Mathew),
George Godfrey Mills Jr.(Anna), and Eva D. Mills along with
17 grandchildren. His sisters Eva C. Jorkey, Ora E. Krangar,
Thelma Sawyer, Mariam Mills-Douglas, Sandra Mills Bynum, Josephine
Birch, and Precious Mills. Two brothers, Ebenezer Goodlin
and Jacob Godfrey Mills, Jr.; nieces, nephews and a host of
other relatives and friends in the USA, Europe, Liberia and
other parts of the world.
He
was employed at the University of Liberia for thirty-five
plus years in several capacities, including Interim Dean at
the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law. During that time he
also worked at the Law Offices of Toye C. Bernard, Brumskine
& Associates and Pierre & Tweh.
