L. Marshall Sr.,
The
Marshall , Page and Gibson families announce with profound
regrets the home going of James L. Marshall Sr., on June 09,
2008 in Minneapolis , MN .
James
Marshall was born in the City of Marshall on April 5th, 1929
to the union of John H. Marshall and Mary Page. He was one
of the few Liberian journalists of his time. He worked for
the Liberian Star and later became editor of that prestigious
news paper. James later moved to Yekepa, Lamco where he headed
the Public Relations Department. The Liberian Government later
called upon him to serve as Assistant Minister for Public
Affairs in the Foreign Ministry. He remained in that position
until the 1980 coup and exiled to the United States .
James
leaves to mourn three sons, James Marshall (Dawn), Jon Marshall
(Laura) and Leo. One daughter Yvette, eight grand children,
2 great grandchildren; and a host of family in Liberia and
the United States .
Memorial
Service will be held on June 14, 2008 at 5pm.
