DR. AARON GARWAY MARSHALL, Jr.
Aaron Garway Marshall was born to the union of Aaron Marshall and Jestina James in Monrovia, Liberia. He attended Ricks Institute, later the University of Liberia, and did graduate work at Roosevelt University in Chicago. He worked for B.F. Goodrich, the U.S. Peace Corps, and Africare serving in West Africa and Haiti. Later he served as Director of C.A.R.I and Deputy Minister of Agriculture. During his later years, he became a private businessman and a philanthropist donating a lot of his time and resources to his alma mater Ricks Institute. Aaron was a pillar in his community.
He leaves to mourn his wife Jean, his five children Etmonia (Sweetie), Aaron Jr. (AG), Jesseye, Vanjahkai, and Aria, his foster sons Joseph and Nagbe, and many grandchildren. He also leaves his siblings Etmonia "Ettie" Rose "Lady" (Husband Collins), Henry (wife Geneve), William "Bill" (wife Gloria), Musu, and predeceased by his older brother Charles and a host of other relatives, and friends.
Aaron, you will be deeply missed. We know you are resting now. Rest well Aaron, we will always love you. May his soul rest in perfect peace and light perpetual shine on you.
