Death
is much a reality of birth, growth, maturity and old age.
It is the one certainty of life that we all have to face.
It is with profound regrets that the Macavoi & Duada families
announce the home going of our father, grandfather, great
grandfather & uncle, Alieu J. Macavoi on Thursday, September
4th 2008 at the age of 80. This sad event occurred at his
home in Caldwell, Liberia. Papa as we all call him, worked
at the German Embassy in Liberia and the Bong Mining Company
for many years.
He
leaves to mourn his loss, Beatrice Ricks, His children: Cynthia
Fatu Macavoi, Bernice Touchie Macavoi-Kwaizah (Bill), Adama
Macavoi, Alieu John Macavoi Jr., Vivian Rennie (Chris), Monica
Swen (Michael), Henry Chesson, Amelia Sweetie Macavoi. Also
mourning his loss is his sister: Saffie Mbayo, nephews: George
Duada & Maxwell Trinity, Niece: Edwina Trinity, 20 grandchildren,
7 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends
in Liberia, United States and Sierra Leone. His daughter,
Weedor Anthonette Macavoi and nephew, Randy Duada predeceased
him.
The
body will be removed from the Good Shepherd Funeral Home in
Monrovia, Liberia on Saturday, October 4th at 9am.
Funeral
Services: Saturday, October 4th @ 11:00am at the Stockton
Creek Wesleyan Church, Caldwell Road, Bushrod Island, Liberia
Internment
will follow at Louisiana Family Plot, Liberia. Repast immediately
following the burial at the home of the deceased.
