The Knuckles, Sherman, Coleman & Dunbar families are heartbroken and deeply saddened to announce the home going in her 49th year of our beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin & friend, Madam Hawa-Ellen Knuckles. This heartbreaking loss occurred on Monday, July 5th, 2021 after a brief illness.
Hawa-Ellen was the Proprietress, Chief Executive Officer & Executive Chef of Evelyn’s Restaurant Bar & Grill, a 100% Liberian owned and staffed restaurant in Monrovia, Liberia for the last 13 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, the late Mr. Willis DeFrancis Knuckles, Jr. (2014) and the late Mrs. Hawa Evelyn Sherman Knuckles (2020). She leaves to mourn her loss, her daughter, Rose Mulbah, her siblings, Willis III (Marie) and Ethel Virginia, her nephew, Samuel Willis and her nieces Nala Myriam & Grace Hawa.
She also leaves to mourn her loss, her family that she loved dearly (uncles, aunts, and many cousins), her Evelyn’s team that she was so proud of, her CWA class of 1987, the Seys United Methodist Church Careysburg family, her extended Careysburg family and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Arrangements will be private.
