It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we, the Kamara, Nelson, Kandeh, Sorie, Nabay, Sesay, Jawara, King, Harris, Parker, Rennie, Harmon, and Draper families announce the death of our beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend Abdul “Baba” Kamara. This sad event occurred on Monday, August 02, 2021, at his home in Gaithersburg, MD, USA.

He was predeceased by his father Abdul Mano Kamara, his mother Haja Iye Kandeh, his brothers N’fa Wilson and Sheku Kuyateh, and his son Francis “Frank” Kamara.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Lela Nelson-Kamara; His loving children: Ejatu Jalloh, Sophie Cole, Mohamed Kamara, Abdul Kamara Jr, and Haja Kamara. His siblings: Tity Kamara, Sampha Kamara, Mohamed Kandeh, Massaquoi Kamara, Abraham Coleman, and Emmett Fiawoo. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends in the USA, Liberia, Sierra Leone and abroad.

Funeral Arrangements:
PLEASE BE ADVISED that the prayer service AND the funeral service will be held at the SAME address.
Due to the increases in COVID cases, we are requiring everyone that will be attending to PLEASE wear masks and/or face shields. Also, women PLEASE COVER YOUR HEAD BEFORE ENTERING THE MOSQUE!
