Edna Wilson Greenidge

The Wilson, Ricks, King, Greenidge family would like to announce the passing of our be love it wife, mother, sister, grandmother and cousin.

Edna Wilson Greenidge She was born unto the union of the late John Hillary Wilson Sr. the former Commissioner of Internal Revenue Republic of Liberia and the late Danetta Ricks King Wilson. She graduated from Saint Teresa Convent. She then received a scholarship to study at the University of Paris Sorbonne where she studied all Haute Couture (high fashion). She worked with renowned French designer Pierre Balmain from The House of Balmain where she created fashion designs and made garments for runway fashion shows for 8 years. She later came to Liberia to run home economics department of mastery of education. She relocated to the United States and married was married to Walwyn Greenidge for 34 years. She became an ordained minister and started Pentecostal Holiness Church of Jesus Christ. She then retired from nursing in 2008 and moved to North Carolina. She leaves her children Angalf Anderson, Danny Anderson Ruby Anderson Edmund Greenidge, Danetta Greenidge and Nola Greenidge Smith. Siblings Marie Silla, Antony Wilson, Gwendoline Wilson, Jerry Wilson. Late brothers John H Wilson II Joseph Wilson, late Samuel Wilson and the late John T Wilson. Grandchildren are Nareea Pierre, Sanaiah Wade, Nya-Ann Greenidge Nathanial Greenidge Tamia Greenidge, Alexander Greenidge, Jeremiah Anderson. Uncle Roosevelt King, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives.
