Daniel Tarkington Goe

Mrs. Lucretia Elizabeth Gibson Goe and her children Tophlay Goe and Yidi Goe -Pyll, along with her stepchildren – Horloe Goe, Hemear Goe, and Bynor Goe – Young, regret to announce the passing of their beloved husband and father which sad event took place on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 3:00 pm.
Daniel Tarkington Goe was born the union of Jeah and Bynor Goe in a small village, Newaken, outside Cape Palmas, Liberia. Daniel Goe was a 1963 graduate of Cuttington University College, with a BSc. Degree in Agricultural Science. He earned a master’s degree in Ed. Administration from Kansas State Teacher’s College, Emporia, Kansas, in 1966.
He served the Liberian and US governments in several capacities. Earlier in his career, he was as a Science Teacher, and later served as the Supervisor of Schools in Bong County. Dan subsequently became the Deputy Director of the Peace Corps for six years and served as the Bong County Agricultural Development Project (BCADP) Manager.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his beloved wife Lucretia, his children – Horloe, Hemear, Bynor, Tophlay, and Yidi, his ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
He will be dearly missed.
