Honorable Jack Tomoonh-Yeleyon Gbaba

The death is announced of Honorable Jack Tomoonh-Yeleyon Gbaba in his 82nd year (January, 1926-December 26, 2008). Honorable Jack T. Gbaba was heir of Yarlee-Gbahn, Founder of the City of Zwedru , Grand Gedeh County , Liberia . This historic event took place at the Martha Tubman Memorial Hospital in the City of Zwedru , Grand Gedeh County , Liberia .

Honorable Jack T. Gbaba is survived by his wives: Esther Doerue-Gbaba, Betty Sobah-Gbaba, Mary Zeyee Gbaba and Mary Gbaba, and his children: Cecelia Gbaba, Dr. Joseph Tomoonh-Garlodeyh Gbaba, Sr., Eve Gbaba, Nehemiah Gbaba, Gaye Solo-Gbaba, Nat Gbaba, Edward Gbaba, James Gbaba, Micah Gbaba, , Frank Gbaba, Bill Gbaba, Jacqueline Gbaba, and Ebenezer Gbaba; 33 Grand children; 10 great-grand children; and 2 great great-grand children, and hosts of relatives: nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

There will be a night of wake-keeping at the residence of the deceased on Lassana Street in Zwedru on Thursday, January 1, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Another evening of wake-keeping will take place on Friday, January 2, 2009 at the Assembly of God Church on Harris Boulevard , Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County , Liberia , from 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight.

Funeral services over the mortal remains of Honorable Jack T. Gbaba will be held on Saturday, January 3rd, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow immediately at the Gbaba Family private cemetery in Gbabaville, Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County , Liberia , and repast will be held at Honorable Jack T. Gbaba’s Lassana Street residence after the interment.
