 Lloyd Ashford Gardiner
It is with profound sorrow that the Gardiner, Wilson, Brewer and Harmon families announce the sad and untimely home going of our beloved father, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and relative, Lloyd Ashford Gardiner. This sad event occurred on 5/10/2021, after a tragic motor accident in Rockville, MD.
“L.A” as he was affectionately called, was the son of S. Faikai Gardiner Sr. and Rachel Wilson Gardiner, both of whom predeceased him. He is survived by his daughter Malaiki, his stepmother Melita Gardiner, his siblings; S. Faikai Jr. (Edwina), Cecelia Gardiner, M. Dashward Gardiner (Phyllis) Richard Gardiner (Natalie), Margaret Gardiner Cooper (Kenneth), George Gardiner (Regina), Ivan Gardiner, Shadrack Gardiner (Catherine), Dede Gardiner (Juley), Kaifai Gardiner (Hannah), Hilary Gardiner, and Melita Gardiner. His Aunts; Margaret Wilson Mirin, Sara E. Wilson, Adeline Wilson Hedd-Williams, Katherine Wilson, Gwendolyn Gooding Wilson, Juanita Wilson, Frances Wilson Hoff, grand aunt, Henrietta “Bettie” Brewer, his beloved Godmother Melita Cummings, and his cousin and life-long friend, Burgess Tubman. Lloyd is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Due to the COVID 19 restrictions, indoor attendance in Montgomery County, MD is limited to 250 people only. While we appreciate and welcome all that are able to attend the home-going services of our loved one, we encourage you to follow the protocols of mask wearing even if you have been fully vaccinated.
