Ms. Minerva Freeman
It is with profound sadness that we announce the homegoing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin, Minerva Freeman. The sad event occurred on May 22, 2021, in Providence, Rhode Island.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Herbert M. Thomas, Sr., her father, Honorable Benjamin G. Freeman, her mother, Jemima Kemp-Freeman; sisters Bea Adighibe, Nancy Anna Fleischmann and Phebian Gray; and brothers Robert Freeman and Seaton Freeman.
She leaves to mourn her loss, three children, J. Rodney Chesson, Herbert M. Thomas, Jr. and Minerva E. Thomas; three sisters Thelma F. Garnett, Evelyn Mathelier, Benetta Bates; one brother, Lloyd Kennedy; cousins Corann Okorodudu, Juliette Maxwell and Hannah Wilson; three grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends in both the United States and Liberia.
May her soul rest in perfect peace.
VIEWING. The viewing will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, from 10:00AM – 11:00AM at The Temple of Restoration, located at 30 Walcott Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
SERVICE. The service will follow from 11:00AM – 12:30 PM at the same location (mentioned above).
INTERMENT. Interment will be private.
Following the interment, a celebration of her life will be held from 2:00PM – 4:00PM at the same location.
