The Freeman, Sombai and Kandakai families announce the passing, in his 88th year, of Mr. Edwin Varney Gbese Freeman of Tubmanburg, Bomi County, Liberia. This sad event occurred at his residence in Tubmanburg on Sunday, June 15, 2008, after a protracted illness. His children, relatives and friends will hold a memorial service on Saturday, July 5, 2008, at 10 a.m., at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Bladensburg, Maryland, where Mr. Freeman was a member while in the United States.
