Sunrise: October 20, 1966 – Sunset: December 19, 2020

It is with immense sadness that the Emerson and Snoh families announce the untimely demise of our beloved, Lawrence M. Emerson, ESQ. on December 19, 2020, from an arson homicide incident in his home at Queens, New York. Lawrence was born in Bopolu, Lofa county now Gbarpolu county, to the late Eldridge G. Snoh Emerson and Mayama Siryon Emerson on October 20, 1966. He was a graduate of the Booker Washington Institute in Kakata, Liberia, Prairie View A & M University in Texas, Columbia University and Columbia Law School in New York, USA. Lawrence was an ardent Christian since childhood and he made sure his life exemplified his faith in God. He was a member of Time Square Church in New York, in addition to other churches, Christian groups and organizations that he supported.

Lawrence worked as Vice President at the Office of General Counsel for Bank of America/Merrill Lynch and other renowned institutions on Wall Street. Before his untimely demise, he was a Consulting Compliance Manager for Synechron, also on Wall Street.

He was an immigrant success story and his life and academic prowess exhibited it. Lawrence had so many dreams and plans for his life and it is heart wrenching to think that our beloved’s life was cut so short in such a tragic way. He is survived by a son, Lawrence Carter Emerson, a brother, Patrick Snoh Emerson (Thelma), four sisters Gmana Emerson, Marie W.
