Gabriel Reginald Duncan

May 8, 1957 – May 12, 2021

The families of Gabriel Reginald Duncan are saddened to announce his death. This homegoing occurred on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the Adventist Medical Health Center, Silver Spring Maryland.

Gabriel was born in Monrovia Liberia. He attended Ricks Institute and B.W. Harris Episcopal High School. He furthered his education in the United States at Johnson C. Smith University, NC and graduate studies at George Washington University. His employment as Budget Officer U.S. Veterans Administration Washington D.C., culminated a successful career spanning forty years in various financial sectors.

Affectionately called Daddy, Grandpa, G Regg, Bor Gabe, Cou Sin, he was dependable, friendly, kind and generous. Gabriel loved people. He was the consummate family man, a devoted son and dedicated father and grandfather. Bor Gabe will be missed. Cou Sin had the heart of an angel and was much loved and cherished by family members. We will all miss his warm presence, infectious laughter and selfless nature. Our hearts are truly broken at his passing.

Gabriel leaves to mourn his loss, his loving mother Ms. Jerusha Blackett, devoted partner Bennie Murphy, daughter Stephanie Salamartu Duncan, granddaughters Tateyana and Alexis, siblings Texanna DeWalt (Gonyon), Nester Diggs (Vivion), Jimmy Duncan (Onike), Eric Duncan (Robertine), uncle Kandakai A. Duncan, Sr. (Sarah), nieces, nephews, cousins, true dedicated friends, and a host of other relatives and friends. Gabriel was predeceased by his father Gabriel Burphy Duncan, Sr.
