 DuoYarkelay Zangbay Dokie
With deep sadness, the Dokie, Beglar, Zangbay, Howard, Dolopaye and Gayflor families announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunty and mother-in-law, DuoYarkelay Zangbay Dokie, commonly known as Ma Duo. This sad event occurred in Decatur, Georgia on Thursday, August 12, 2021.
Ma Duo was the wife of the late Clan Chief James Richards Dokie of Sehyi Clan, Sanniquellie Mahn Chiefdom. She was an active member of Caring Believers Bible Fellowship Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia, USA and Mount Nimba Baptist Church in LAMCO Yekepa, Nimba County, Republic of Liberia.
Ma Duo was predeceased by her parents, Layweh Zangbay and Kou Gbeleipeh; her husband James Richards Dokie; siblings, Gonotee Luogon, Konah Jenkins Beglar and Yei Sannie; her children, Serrina Y Dokie, Pericles Saye Dokie and Paye Woto Dokie.
She is survived by her children Roland N Dokie, Paul W Dokie and Matthew Beglar. Step children; Grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren, including Tehti Kroma Howard, Gayduo Barr, Annette Dokie, Saye Tuo Dokie, Gloria Kou Geh, Pauline Dokie, Paul Dokie Jr., Pericles Dokie, Roland Dokie II, Romarkie Dokie, Serrina Dokie, Joyce C. Wolo, Berince, Abraham and many others; her nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives.
Wake Keeping will take place on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 8:00 P.M. – 11:00 P.M. at John’s Events Hall located at 6009 Memorial Driver, Stone Mountain, GA 30083.
Funeral Service will occur on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. – 1:30 P.M. at the Clarkston International Bible Church located at 3895 Church Street, Clarkston, GA 30021.
