Dr. Henrique Benson, Sr.
November 5, 1928 - June 17, 2008

The Family of Dr. Henrique Benson, Sr. announces with profound regret his home going in his 80th year. This sad event occurred in Kpando, Ghana on June 17, 2008. He leaves to mourn his death his widow Beatrice Benson (nee Tibu); his children, Dr. Henrique Benson, Jr., Julian Benson (spouse: Barbara Darby Benson), Nadia Benson Tolbert (spouse: Stephen Tolbert), and Martin Benson; his grandchildren, Michael, Kirsten, Naima, Alexis and Aidan; his siblings, Julia Wesley, Mai DeShield, Dr. Edward Benson, Alliette Jones, Enid Benson, Ellen Brown, Shirley Henries and Nellie Sidifall. His father Counselor Joseph A. Benson, his mother Maude Wright, his sister Henrietta Benson and two brothers, Counselor Joseph V. Benson and Colonel John Benson, predeceased him. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The wake keeping will take place at the Pastoral Center in Kpando, Ghana at 8:00 p.m. on July 18, 2008, to be followed by the funeral service on July 19, 2008 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Pastoral Center.

A memorial service will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on July 20, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
