Evelyn Mamie Attia

With profound sadness, the Attia and Dean families announce the homegoing of our beloved Evelyn Mamie Attia on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at her residence in Providence, Rhode Island, U.S.A. For more than a decade-long before her passing, Evelyn battelled multiple comorbidities (medical illnesses). Evelyn, affectionally called Mamie, Sister Mamie, and or Auntie Mamie, was born on February 18, 1964, in Monrovia, Liberia, to Etta Dean and James W. Attia, Sr. – both parents predeceased her.

Evelyn leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Habib Nyante and Prince Nyante, siblings – Prince Bayogar Attia, Johnetta Patience Monger, Mangee M. Attia, Decontee Attia, Neijay Attia, Princess Richards, Lulu Spears, Mark Dean, Yvonne Kamara, Barbara Dean, James Attia, Jr., Crystal Attia, Alanzo Hoggard, nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of relatives, and friends in the U.S.A., Canada, and Liberia.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, masks are required when visiting with the family, at the viewing, funeral service, and burial. The Bell Funeral Home implements social distancing at all times, and seating is limited to 50 individuals. The family will live stream the service on Facebook.
