March 2008

The effects of the war are very visible in Lofa. The rebels and the ATU branded the walls of buildings with their names and other graffiti. Bullet holes, RPG holes and blasted roof tops tell the story of the fierce fighting that occur in Lofa County, during the wars. Now Lofa is peaceful and the people are once more going about their business of farming. Something they do very well in Lofa

Making Mud Bricks in Foya. Many people are using mud bricks in the construction of their buildings, it is cheaper and cooler then cement bricks.
