in Monrovia. This is what Liberians refer
to as "Born to suffer" ~ This is
one of the many options available for delivering
water. These boys deliver water to homes and
businesses across the bridge and in-town that
are not connected to water and sewer pipes.
Each of these containers can carry 6 gallons
of water, there are 30 containers on this
push cart, (30 * 6 = 180 gallons of water).
These guys push these carts fill with water
in the hot sun, up hill, down hill, between
cars, and in the traffic. They buy the water
at the pumps for 5 LD a container and sell
it for 10 LD a container. Hey at least they
are earning a living. Like they say in Liberia
"no food for lazy man".
