 MR. EDWIN RANDOLPH YORK (YOGIE)
It is with sadness, but with thanksgiving for a life well-lived, that the York Family announces the death of Mr. Edwin R. York on Thursday December 5, 2019 after a protracted illness. He died peacefully in his beloved country, Liberia. He was a gifted electronic engineer establishing KEY Electronics, a premier 100% Liberian-owned provider for electronic solutions. He worked many years for the Liberia Telecommunications Corporation (LIBTELCO) and was a past Commissioner of the Liberia Telecommunications Authority. He is survived by his wife, Victoria Kiadii York, five children, Konkai, Louis (Antoinette), Lumbeh, Hannah and Edwina. Siblings: Lucinda, Edrick, Emily, Hannah, Eisenhower, Satara (Pierre), Katurah (James), Serena (Joseph) and William (Garmai); along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives from the York, Wilson, Woods, and Clarke families. His parents, James and Louise York, predeceased him.

Friday, December 20, 2019 at 8:30 am: Removal of the Body from the Samuel L. Stryker Funeral Home to Eliza Turner AME Church on Camp Johnson Road-Monrovia, Liberia
9:00 am to 10:15 am: Wake-Keeping and Tributes
10:30 am: Funeral Services at Eliza Turner AME Church on Camp Johnson Road-Monrovia, Liberia
Internment immediately following in Brewerville at the York Family Plot
Friends and Organizations are asked to please pay tributes during the Wake-Keeping. Only those designated on the program will pay tribute during the funeral services.
