The Yates, Gibson, and Cox families regret to announce the death of their son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin, Jaiden Divine Yates. The sad event occurred on November 13, 2020 at 9pm after he was gunned down.
Jaiden was born on September 11, 2003 unto the union of Jamel Diamond Yates and Toni Arquita Moody in Kannapolis, NC. He was a senior at A. L. Brown High School and played on the school football team. He was a student in the carpentry program at his school and aspired to complete certifications in construction and welding.
Jaiden was a loving and lively person, but he could also be shy at times. He had a goofy sense of humor and loved to tease and joke around. Jaiden was adored by everyone, and his absence leaves a huge void in our hearts.
Jaiden Divine Yates leaves to mourn his loss, Father: Jamel D. Yates (Jasmine Grier); Mother: Toni A. Moody; Sisters: Jada Cynthia, Janai Marie, and Mallori; Brother: Jaxon Ray; Grandmothers: Ettie Gibson and Tracy Meisenheimer (Mike); Grandfather: Tony Moody; Aunts: JoEttie Clinton, Jasmine Yates, and Jenell Stewart; Uncle: Jimi-Lee Yates; Grand-aunts: Annie Gibson Hamilton, Lucretia Gibson, Dashetta Gibson, and Vivian Gibson; Grand-uncle: Henry Al Dennis; Cousin/Best Friend: Tamarion Hoff; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Jaiden's remains were cremated and details for a memorial will be announced.
