The
Yancy, Williams, Baker & Howard families regret to announce
the death, in her 89th year, of Mrs. Hannah Virginia Williams
Yancy. This sad event occurred at her home in Paynesville,
Monrovia, Liberia on Sunday, February 19, 2012.
She
leaves to mourn her loss, two daughters, Mrs. Jean F. Yancy
Carter, Mettie Elizabeth Yancy; nine neices, Ms. Comfort Baker,
Ms. Jemima Baker, Mrs. Charlotte Baker Ibrahim, Mettie Williams,
Pheme Williams, Christine Williams, Y.V. Brownell, Caron Houston,
Louise Phillips; eight nephews, Jenkins Baker, JCN Howard,
Jr., Allen Williams Jr., Edwin Williams, Walter Baker, J.E.
Howard, John Wesley Howard, Lawrence Howard; four grandchildren,
Clarence Carter, Samuel David Carter, I, Amber Carter Mitchell,
Taezue Magdalene Baysah, five great grandchildren, several
foster children and a host of other relatives and friends.
The
body will be moved from the Good Shepherd Funeral Parlor
on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. and taken to the Tubman
United Methodist Church in Paynesville, Monrovia, Liberia
where funeral services will be held.
